I’m Taylor Brinton, a technology professional in the Mountain West. I lead a solution consulting team and spend my free time building software and automation projects — this site is where the two meet.

Work

I’m a Senior Manager of Solution Consulting: leading a team that works out what a customer actually needs and proves out the answer with demos, integrations, and working code rather than slides. My background covers communications platforms, APIs, and the practical side of making systems talk to each other.

Outside of work hours I build real software for real problems — bookkeeping, shop-floor tooling, automated reporting — and ship it the way a product team would: version control, CI/CD, containers, and tagged releases.

The lab

I maintain a private home lab for software, networking, and automation experiments. It’s where most of my projects run and where the blog content comes from — the house itself runs on Home Assistant, and there’s always at least one experiment in flight.

The radio

I’m a licensed amateur radio operator. I volunteer with an emergency communications group and enjoy building bridges between traditional radio and modern software.
